Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the difference between hemp and marijuana?Scientifically, industrial hemp and marijuana are different varieties of the same plant, belonging to similar genetics. All strains of industrial hemp belong to the species Cannabis sativa, while marijuana includes strains belonging to Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. Note that because hemp and marijuana are both forms of cannabis, the term ‘cannabis oil’ can refer to either a hemp- or a marijuana-derived oil.
- Importantly, the two types of plant also differ significantly in their levels of THC and CBD. Most marijuana contains high levels of THC and very little CBD. Most hemp, on the other hand, contains very high levels of CBD and only trace amounts of THC. For this reason, the cannabinoid profile of hemp is ideal for people looking for the benefits of cannabis products without the psychoactive effects or ‘high’ produced by most marijuana.
- Because of their differences, hemp and marijuana have some distinct uses. Hemp is used for making herbal supplements, food, fiber, rope, paper, bricks, oil, natural plastic, and many other health and material products. Marijuana does not have the same textural qualities and tends to be used exclusively for recreational, spiritual, and medicinal purposes.
- In the USA, Section 7606 of the Agricultural Appropriations Act of 2014 provides a legal definition of industrial hemp: “The term ‘industrial hemp’ means the plant Cannabis sativa L. and any part of such plant, whether growing or not, with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol concentration of not more than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis.”
What are the concentrations of CBD and other cannabinoids in your products?
- Our raw extracts contain varying percentages of cannabidiol (CBD) and other cannabinoids, with concentrations ranging from 10% to 99%. Each product has a unique formulation, maximizing a particular set of benefits through a carefully selected ratio of our different extracts. Our CBD Isolate is over 99% pure CBD.
- Unlike marijuana which is THC-rich, hemp contains extremely low (less than 0.3%) THC. THC is the compound in marijuana that is psychoactive. All Pro Players CBD products contains Less Than 0.3% THC.

How does ProPlayers CBD Cream Work?
- ProPlayers CBD Cream provides immediate AND long-lasting pain relief without the side effects of lingering burning sensation, greasy residue or dry skin.
- The initial pain relief sensation is produced by the absorption of ProPlayers CBD Cream cooling agents like, 1% menthol, tea tree oil, wintergreen oil, and aloe vera. This cooling action is a result of vasoconstriction of peripheral vessels in the affected areas initially yielding a decreased blood flow to help limit localized inflammation.
Why is there EMU Oil and CBD Oil in ProPlayers CBD Cream?
- Emu oil is the delivery vehicle which makes it possible for ProPlayers CBD Cream to penetrate all layers of skin, through the fat layers and to the blood stream where the power of Hemp CBD and other healing ingredients can circulate throughout the body.
I heard the FDA was shutting down companies?
- The FDA has warned companies marketing CBD products not to make any claims about the use of CBD to treat or prevent disease. Currently, the FDA has not approved CBD or any other cannabinoid for any medical indications and does not currently regard it as having medicinal benefit. We were not among the companies warned by the FDA, and as an industry leader, we make it a point to remain conservatively compliant with all FDA guidelines. We never make claims about the medical uses of our products and, instead encourage you to do your own research and to discuss your concerns with your doctor before starting any new dietary supplement.
What is the difference between CBD oil and the hemp products I buy at the grocery store?
- Hemp products sold in stores are most often made with hemp seed oil, which can contain only trace amounts of CBD. While it has been noted that hemp seed oil can be a great source of nutrition, its marginal quantity of CBD per weight makes it unfeasible as a CBD supplement. Our CBD hemp oil, however, is extracted from the stalk of specifically selected hemp cultivars, offering higher percentages of CBD by weight and additional nutritional benefits
What is the difference between CBD-Isolate and Full Spectrum CBD?
- Full Spectrum CBD products contain all 112 non-THC cannabinoids besides just CBD. There is definitely a strong debate about which is “better”, however, we take the position that the more cannabinoids, the better. CBD affects everyone differently so the product that would work best for you is highly dependent on your own individual needs.
